Natural and Organic Beauty Haul at Holland & Barrett

With the change of season comes the need to shake up my skincare routine, what was working for me last month isn't with the warmer, dryer weather. As if by magic, Holland & Barrett perfectly timed their new Manchester Market Street store opening with my need to discover new skincare and I dove in head first.

I know what you're thinking, aren't Holland & Barrett all about natural alternatives and health supplements? Well, yes they are but they are also taking the natural and organic beauty market by storm. Their new store has a huge beauty department and every brand that's stocked there is (mostly) natural and/or organic. We headed down to the store opening and were taken aback by the sheer amount of choice, if you haven't been in yet, head down to Market Street and experience it for yourself.

One of the best bits of the event was the goodie bag. It was on another level. We were thoroughly spoiled by the Holland & Barrett team and treated to a whole horde of different products (the majority of which are pictured above) from Seahorse plankton oil* and snail gel cream* to organic eye cream and all natural oils. I'm working my way through them all at the moment so I'm sure they will feature in future posts but I thought I'd start by giving you a sneak peek at my natural beauty haul and show you my two favourite products.

Trilogy Rosehip Oil

This is 100% my new favourite product. I've used it religiously since receiving it in the goodie bag and have already recommended it to so many people.

I noticed a difference in my complexion within days of using it, it was so much brighter, clearer and healthier looking than before. I have quite dry skin as well as sensitive skin and I've not had a problem with this at all, it's deeply moisturising but not greasy at all. I use it daily before applying eye cream and moisturiser.

Weleda Skin Food

I'm already a big fan of Weleda Skin Food* but I hadn't used it for a couple of years so I was delighted to see this in the goodie bag. It is a great all round, rich moisturiser that soaks in quickly without grease. I would usually use this for my body but I'm suffering with a cold at the moment so have been using it on my face too for an added hit of moisture, it works perfectly and even though it's really rich, it doesn't clog pores at all. Due to its rich texture, a little goes a very long way so value for money is great.

The 75ml size is perfect for popping in your handbag or stashing on your desk for when your skin is in need of hydration.

I so recommend a trip to the new store, it is huge and the selection of natural and organic beauty products is incredible. The staff are also really helpful and knowledgeable so if you're only just starting to experiment, they will help to guide you in the right direction.

  1. I love having a nosey in the beauty department at Holland and Barrett as they have so many brands you wouldn't normally see in Boots etc. X
