Transitional Florals

After what seems like years of winter, the first signs of summer have finally started to show! This weekend has been absolutely beautiful and with the clocks going back, light, sunny evenings are an actual reality again. The weather really affects my mood so a weekend of sunshine after days and days of rain was very much needed, it also made us get out and about with an impromptu trip to the beach and playing in the garden with my nieces. I'm in such a better mood now and ready to get stuck into the week ahead!

The sunny weather also means transitioning into a summer wardrobe. boohoo challenged me to style up this super cute tea dress from their new range as part of their Dress of the Month challenge. Myself and the other bloggers didn't get to choose a dress, instead Boohoo sent the same dress to a few different bloggers to see how we all styled it differently, I can't wait to see what everyone else does with it!

Even though the weather was glorious, it still wasn't super warm so I opted for the boohoo tea dress, tights and polo neck combo with my usual ankle boots. The extra layer meant I didn't need to wear a jacket which added to the summer feel! The dress is really versatile though, I tried it a few different ways including the way it's supposed to be worn with the v-neck at the front (which was quite booby for me!) and the tie tied at the front of the neck as well as back to front which creates a cute low back and high front. Whatever suits your style!

During the summer months, my hair tends to annoy me when it's around my face so I tend to opt for braids instead. This is one of my go to styles, with my fringe down and a simple french braid tucked under with a few kirby grips, it's a nice, simple look that takes minutes to do and always gets compliments.

Rudy tea dress c/o boohoo (now in the sale!), APC half moon bag from Coggles, Vintage polo neck and Clarks boots (now sold out)

  1. Love your outfit in this post - I need more florals in my wardrobe for sure but I'm terrible at styling them without looking like I am wearing a pair of curtains

I'd love to hear your thoughts and hear about your blog, feel free to leave a link so I can comment back.

Lots of love,
