Mother's Day is just around the corner and if you're struggling for ways to treat your Mum, Selfridges Beauty Hall is the perfect place to head if your mum loves to be pampered. I live super close to The Trafford Centre so the Selfridges Beauty Hall is my default place to go for stocking up on beauty products, if I need a pamper or well, literally any excuse.
I thought I'd pull together a quick guide to the beauty hall for those of you who haven't had a chance to plan something special for this weekend.
Book in for a manicure
Getting your nails done with your mum is such a nice treat, it's a great time to just catch up as you can't get distracted by anything and you're there for a good half an hour. I gave Nails Inc at The Trafford Centre Selfridge's Beauty Hall a whirl last weekend to test it out for you guys, it's a hard job but someone has to do it!
The nail bar has three stations so it's ideal for sharing and the choice is incredible, because they mix the gel into the polish, you can choose any Nails Inc polish in existence, or even mix your own custom shade. I went for Porchester Square, a lovely nude shade, and was so happy with the results. It was applied with a paintbrush which meant every detail was perfect, I'm also happy to say that a week later, all 10 are still intact!
Manicures start from £36 each.
Have a Jo Malone hand massage
Another treat that is great for sharing with your mum is a Jo Malone hand massage, it's free too which is always a good thing! You're treated to a glass of bubbly or chilled water and chocolate while you choose your scents to layer up, then it's time for the divine hand and arm massage. Make sure you book in advance for this one as they get snapped up quickly.
Treat her to luxury beauty goodies
The Selfridges Beauty Hall is packed with utterly giftable luxury goodies from premium skincare to beautiful cosmetics, snap up something from the perfectly presented displays and I'm sure she'll love it.
There is also complimentary gift wrapping on all orders over £100 up until the 26th of March with a cute personalised ribbon.
Try out a new look
The majority of the beauty counters offer makeovers and treatments, simply pop over and book one in to be treated to a new look. The Estee Lauder counter is my personal favourite as it has the loveliest people who will help you with all your questions but it's worth having a wander round to find the perfect fit for you and your mum.
Selfridges at the Trafford Centre also has a day of complimentary drinks, live entertainment and special beauty workshops with your favourite make-up artists at their Mother’s Day Beauty Afternoon from 12–6pm on 25 March. Tickets are £10 and are redeemable against a purchase within the Beauty Hall on the day. You can find out all about Selfridges' Mother's Day events at the Trafford Centre here.
Alternatively, if you fancy something completely different, why not get her a personalised t-shirt? The lovely people at Printsome can whip you up your very own t-shirt in a matter of days, take a look at their collection here.
*Selfridge's treated me to a complimentary manicure in return for an honest review but I was under no obligation to post anything other than a review of the manicure, it made a more interesting post than just my nails!
