Dressing for Winter
Finally, I can dig out my winter coats and pull on my ankle boots, winter is here! The Christmas markets have descended on Manchester and our weekends are once again filled with mulled wine, bratwurst and putting up with mild drizzle while we force ourselves to be festive.
This is my favourite time of year for fashion, it's not cold enough to require a full on snowsuit situation, but it's also cold enough that you can wear nice coats without overheating as soon as you get inside.
This time of year also means work is manic (Black Friday and Cyber Monday is our main focus) and we have, for some reason, decided to buy our first house and move at exactly the same time, smart. But that means at the weekend I require simple outfits that I can just throw on and head out knowing that I'll be confident and comfortable.
This seems to be my weekend uniform at the moment; a winter coat, jeans, ankle boots and a simple top. Last week I wore this outfit for a trip to Margaret Dabbs to have my nails transformed (more on this in a later post), Gap jeans, Gestuz coat (a few seasons old now), Clarks boots, Miss Selfridge pie crust blouse and Aspinal of London bag.
I'm planning for an equally simple outfit this weekend for a trip to the cinema to see Fantastic Beasts (my inner Potter geek is so excited) and to sort out the final bits and pieces so we can exchange on our house next week!
What are you up to this weekend?
