To be honest, I need absolutely no excuse to indulge in a little spa treatment, but as it's National Spa Week from the 31st of October to the 5th of November, it would be rude not to celebrate!
I've picked out my favourite 5 spas from around Manchester, Cheshire and Liverpool to help you choose where to visit if you fancy a bit of an indulgent treatment.
Rookery Hall is one of the closest spas to where I grew up in Nantwich, it was the go to place if you wanted to treat yourself! It's set in a beautiful country house estate which means it's practically an oasis of calm. The treatments on offer are fabulous and you can combine them with a stay in the hotel for a relaxing weekend away. To find out more, visit their site here.
Our first stay at Mottram Hall was an impromptu visit after Black Friday last year (anyone who works in online retails knows the stress) and it was an amazing way to relax. They have the best selection of saunas in their outdoor spa area where I could gladly spend a whole afternoon. There are also 8 treatment rooms so it's easy to book yourself in for a relaxing treatment. We're planning our next trip there now in the run up to Black Friday! The Lowry spa is best if you're looking for a specialist treatment, it offers a combination of relaxation and advanced rejuvenation with plenty of skincare and medicosmetic treatments. Their signature treatments include Pure Oxygen facials and anti ageing collagen rejuvenation. To find out more, visit their site here.
Sienna Spa at Radisson Blu Edwardian
This was the first ever spa I treated myself to! It was after my first few months of having a proper grown up job and it felt like bliss. I had a massage that relaxed me so much! I've been back since for the spa day and afternoon tea with friends and it's been just as good, I'd thoroughly recommend a trip if you're in Manchester. To find out more, visit their site here.
I haven't actually visited the Lush Spa in Liverpool yet but I have heard such good things from people like Beth who absolutely loved her experience there. The spa is themed around The Beatles and everything is aimed to help you relax and have fun, all the treatments have Lush's playful nature and sound kind of amazing. It's definitely on my 'must visit' list! To find out more, visit their site here.
I hope you have a fab spa week and get yourself booked in! Or a spa day or treatment makes an amazing Christmas gift.
