Getting back into exercise after a holiday is a nightmare, all I want to do is have wine with lunch and eat all of the cheese. This time I planned in an active weekend to avoid this (although Eurovision did call for a little wine and cheese of course) and make sure I got straight back into the swing of things.
I had a Saturday of weight training and fast yoga with Lighter Life Fast at The Trafford Centre planned, unfortunately the weight training had to take a back seat as we had to rush to a house viewing which had just come to the market in an attempt to get in first. I picked up Rebecca and we headed to the Trafford Centre, after a quick stop at Selfridges to have a nosey in the home section (I want everything) we went to where the yoga was taking place. It happened to be in the middle of the Trafford Centre... In a fake garden... In front of everyone...
Possibly the least relaxing environment ever for yoga but the teacher (Hollyoaks actresses and faces of Lighter Life Fast) made it a really fast paced, energetic session which took our minds slightly away from the people staring! Lighter Life Fast is all about balancing a healthy lifestyle with a 5:2 diet alongside exercise like yoga, aiming to keep your mind and body at one.
I can honestly say it's one of the oddest things I've done, I saw the Trafford Centre from a completely new angle, I'm pretty sure not that many people have had a little lie down and looked up but it's actually quite beautiful.
I wore my trusty M&S sports top (got to love thumbholes), New Balance Leggings, Sweaty Betty pilates socks and took my new Jim Bag* for a spin. I've wanted a Jim Bag for quite a while as my little backpack I take to the gym doesn't quite cut it anymore, so I'm glad I've finally got my hands on one!
