Mexican food is my guilty pleasure, there's something ever so moreish about the spicy deliciousness that makes it the ultimate comfort food. Wahaca is one of my favourite places to pop into for a hit of Mexican food (and the odd shot of tequila of course), and now there's a new one open in the Corn Exchange in Manchester, it may just have to become a more regular occurrence.
We were invited down to try out the new Spring Specials - the slow cooked lamb shoulder taco and the Crispy Prawn taco. Unfortunately the prawn was sold out (oh no, another reason to go back again soon...) but we ordered the lamb taco along with a Wahaca Introduction selection to share to give us a taste of the signature dishes.
We were presented with a whole host of small dishes from chorizo and potato quesadillas to spicy slaw, each of them were rather delectable and utterly messy.
The new lamb taco was completely delicious, I could have actually eaten about five of them but we settled for the one! The meat was succulent and spicy, the sauce rich and delicious. We washed it down with a Corona which was perfect for a sunny spring day.

*Our meal at Wahaca was free of charge in return for an honest review, as always opinions and photos are my own.
