As much as I'd rather be sitting on the sofa with a glass of wine and a slice of cake, I've been dragging my rather sizable behind to the gym and ditching the wine in favour of heading to the gym four times a week and a low calorie diet. Why? We're going on holiday next weekend and a few weeks ago I was feeling like a chubby sausage.
I've obviously not made a huge amount of progress with weight loss (I have shed a few pounds though so every little helps!) but I feel 100% more comfortable with my body, full of energy and healthier on the inside, just down to a few life changes over a short period of time. It's not the physical changes that make a difference, I'm sure they will as I lose more weight but it's more the knowledge that I'm taking steps to get healthier that is giving me back the confidence I'd lost.
I also find that wearing the right gym kit can transform my mood and spur me on to work harder, the latest additions thanks to M and M Direct have given me a few things to give me a boost. Support and stability are big things for me when I'm exercising, a supportive bra and pair of trainers are essentials.
I still have a long way to go but I feel like I'm heading in the right direction, I'm even starting weight training this weekend so wish me luck!
