I have an unhealthy obsession with Clarks, to the point where I think I may have scared the guy from Clarks when we had a call about the launch on Coggles in a couple of weeks. Even he was taken aback by my love of the brand, but the product is just so good I can't help it, don't judge.
I always loved the Orla Kiely collaborations they have done in the past as well as the usual collections, so when I heard about their collaboration with Christopher Raeburn, I was over the moon! Christopher Raeburn is one of my favourites, I've been to a countless amount of his shows at LFW and even have a polar bear from a few seasons ago sitting on my desk at work. It's basically a collaboration made for me so I couldn't not feature it.
I managed to get my hands on a pair of the Jungle Fern sandals just before the release date (thank you so much Clarks!) and instantly fell in love with them, despite it being about 3 degrees outside, I braved the wintery weather and wore them to brunch with Laura and Rebecca last weekend. I'm not going to lie, I thought I was going to lose my toes to frost bite by the end but it was well worth it to give them their first outing. I paired them with a COS maxi dress I picked up in Copenhagen and a Topshop khaki bomber jacket which is thankfully the warmest thing I own!
Rebecca has just moved up to Manchester so we thought we'd show her a few of the local spots, starting with brunch of course! We headed to Pokuveski's Deli in Salford Quays for some poached eggs and salmon bagels (delish as always) and despite my clumsiness causing a crime scene level splash of cranberry juice that covered all three of us, we managed to shoot some outfit photos around the Quays afterwards.
I love Salford Quays, and it's been so interesting to see how it's developed in the time that I've lived here, from the introduction of the BBC to the increase in popularity of The Lowry theatre, so it's lovely to introduce people to it.
Time to go and stop myself buying more shoes...
