We've nearly made it, the end of January is in sight! January is the standard detox month, everyone embraces fitness, healthy eating and generally helping our body back to normal human behaviour instead of surviving solely on pigs in blankets, cheese boards and port, staying up late and dismissing your usual skincare routine.
This month's Lookfantastic Beauty Box is focused on getting your skin and hair back in to tip top condition after the indulgence of December, just what I needed! There is a limited amount left in stock, but hurry to pick up yours (if you like the look of it of course) here for just £15.
Take a look at what's in the box below...
Micellar water has been a firm fixture in my skincare routine for months now, I've tried a few different kinds but tend to stick with the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water because it works really well and is so affordable. But I'm always up for trying different types of micellar water so I was excited to try the Darphin Azahar Cleansing Micellar Water.
I'm not a massive fan of the micellar water I'm using at the moment so the arrival of the Darphin micellar water was much needed. I've been using it all week and love it so far, I have really sensitive eyes but it removes my eye make up really easily without irritation, perfect. This is definitely a product I'll be investing in again in the future.
I've been using the same Neutrogena exfoliator for around 10 years but they have changed the formula (why would you do this??) so I'm on the lookout for a replacement that will cleanse my skin as much as the previous formula but gentle enough to use every day. The Lookfantastic beauty box is great for experimenting with different products that you wouldn't usually use, the Dr Lancer The Method: Polish is one of those products!
This is a 'gentle skin-resurfacing treatment', and that is definitely how I would describe it instead of an exfoliator. It's a great product but it's not something my sensitive skin would be able to take every day, it's more of a product to use 2-3 times a week. I've definitely noticed an improvement in the appearance and brightness of my skin, but I'm keen to continue to use it to see what difference it makes over the course of a few weeks!
What kind of detox box doesn't include a detox specific product? The Nuxe Nuxellence Detox is an anti-ageing treatment that gets to work as you sleep, it helps to recharge your skin and detoxify skin cells overnight.
I haven't had a chance to try this out just yet a I've just bought a new night cream but I'm excited to try it tonight to see how it performs! I love Nuxe products so fingers crossed I won't be disappointed.
Kebelo is a brand that I've discovered through the Lookfantastic Beauty Boxes so I was excited to see two new products, The Ultimate Hair Detox and Silky Soft Smoothness, in the January box for me to try out. I'm actually saving these for our trip to Copenhagen next week, got to love handy travel size products!
I love receiving full size make up products in the beauty box so it was great to find the bellapierre Shimmer Shadow. bellapierre has been featured in quite a few LF Beauty Boxes over the past year but I've used every one.
I've been experimenting with shimmery, bronze and gold shadows on my eyes recently so this will be a great addition to my make up bag!
All in all, it's a pretty good box! I've tried out quite a few of the products and have loved them so far, the rest will be stowed away in my suitcase ready to jet off to Copenhagen next week. I can't wait to try the them out.
The products included are worth over £50 but you can pick up your own for just £15 (or as little as £11.25 a month if you subscribe), take a look here to find out more.
