The Owl & the Apothecary

It's not often that I fall in love with a concept so quickly but when I heard of the Owl & the Apothecary, I was instantly enamored and wanted to find out more.

It is essentially a gift box, but with the hope of inspiring the recipient with a tailored collection of home gifts, natural products, thoughtful ideas, stones, essential oils and, most intriguingly, a rather beautiful mask.

The Owl & the Apothecary is pretty new and was founded by Katy Theakston, inspired by her love of the wild, well being and a little bit of magic. You can read Katy's story here which will shed a little light on the thoughts behind the concept.

The lovely people at the Owl & the Apothecary sent me a few goodies to try a mini version of the inspiring experience. Take a peek below to see what I thought...

The packaging and presentation of the box is absolutely beautiful, a vibrant palette of bright orange, navy blue, pink and green paired against the slate grey box. It would make a bloody lovely Christmas present who needs a bit of relaxation and inspiration in their life!

I love the addition of the mask as well, who doesn't love a bit of dressing up?

Each piece in the box is hand wrapped in tissue paper with a ritual card attached to explain the thought behind including them in the box, whether it's a delicately scented aromatherapy candle or a stone to bring you creativity; a really lovely touch.

There is a wide range of boxes to choose from, including The Intrepid Fox Bounty Box (for those seeking change and adventure) to The Beautiful Wild Rabbit Box (for those entering motherhood), they will make a gorgeous gift this Christmas for your nearest and dearest.

Visit the Owl & the Apothecary site here to find out more and to shop...
