Lookfantastic October Beauty Box Review
I am SO excited for Christmas so I pretty much had to get the new, limited edition Lookfantastic Beauty Box complete with a new festive look, isn't it the prettiest?
The Lookfantastic beauty box is usually pretty on point, but October's is just on another level. It's only £15 and is packed full of products (7 to be exact), every single one of them is now an essential part of my beauty routine. There are two more limited edition boxes to come and I cannot wait to see what's in them!
Now, on to the good stuff...
Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser // Balance Me Radiance Face Mask // Elemis Hydra-Balance Day Cream // Nuxe Hand and Nail Cream // Monu Firming Moisturiser // Percy & Reed Volumising No Oil Oil // Look Good Feel Better Eyeshadow Brush
I love a good face mask and the Balance Me Radiance Face Mask was added to my list of favourites after just one use. It's a multi purpose product that can be used as an exfoliating cleanser or as a face mask to replenish moisture, ideal for the winter months.
Exfoliation is a daily necessity to keep my skin clear, I usually stick to my trusty Neutrogena exfoliator but I'm always open to trying new products so I was really excited to try the Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser. It's a really fine exfoliant so it easily lifts daily grime and oil, it polishes skin and leave it looking brighter. It's probably a little too fine for me but would be perfect for daily use.
I've been putting off buying a new day cream for a while now because I'm just not sure what to get for the winter months, as if by magic, the Elemis Hydra-Balance Day Cream featured in this month's box! It's now a staple within my skincare routine and I'm working up the courage to buy the full size product, at £42 it's a lot for a moisturiser but it's worth it! It's a really light cream that glides over the skin and absorbs almost instantly, absolutely perfect for an instant hit of hydration.
Ahhh, it's that time of the year when hand cream is an absolute essential to avoid cracked skin and dry hands. The Nuxe Hand and Nail Cream is such a treat, it's creamy, smells amazing and absorbs really quickly, everything I want from a hand cream! It also has avocado in it which makes it even better.
I've been using the Elemis day cream in the morning and the Monu Firming Moisturiser in the evening, I've already started to notice a positive difference in my skin! It's a rich (but not heavy) cream that really feels like it's making a difference, it also helps to smooth out the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines, ideal for those of us who are getting older...
My hair always has a mare in winter, it suddenly becomes susceptible to split ends and dryness so the Percy & Reed Volumising No Oil Oil is much needed. It's a non greasy formula that moisturises and protects hair to leave it shiny and healthy. I've only tried it once but loved it, I need to try it a few more times before I give it my full seal of approval though!
The only thing better than buying new make up brushes is when they do good, not on your face, but for the world. Look Good Feel Better is a range of brushes that supports the cancer charity of the same name with a portion of the sales from each brush going to the charity. Not only are they raising money and awareness, the Look Good Feel Better Eyeshadow Brush is a really good brush too! It's soft and delicate but great for coverage.
I'm so pleased with this month's box, I love pretty much every product in it and cannot wait for the next limited edition box to arrive! If you want your very own box, take a look at Lookfantastic here, they're only £15 each and you can either buy one or subscribe for an even better deal! I think it's the only beauty box that you don't have to subscribe to so it's perfect if you don't want to commit. It would also be a great Christmas present, just saying!
