Cashmere and Autumn Leaves
Autumn is easily my favourite season, there is nothing better than a crisp autumn day, especially when the sun is shining through the newly golden leaves. We spent this weekend in the Lake District with Joe's parents (hi Elaine!) exploring Windermere and Bowness, we could not have got luckier with the weather, it was absolutely glorious! I was suffering from a touch of the flu but managed to power through to enjoy some bloody lovely food, rest and relaxation, just what the doctor ordered.
We spend quite a lot of time in the Lake District (Joe is obsessed with fell walking and I abide it...) but I usually wear ugly, waterproof clothes and walking boots so I took full advantage of a more grown up weekend and wore my new Holi cashmere jacket, my absolute favourite new addition to my wardrobe. It is the softest, warmest and most comfortable jacket I own, it was ideal for when I was feeling under the weather too. I love the trapeze cut and kimono style sleeves, perfect for wearing with over-sized jumpers like this white COS sweatshirt (similar here) I picked up in Copenhagen.
This evening is going to be spent finishing off my birthday treats (oh hello Ladurée macarons...) and getting ready to head back to work tomorrow after a long weekend, I will banish the flu once and for all!
