For the past few days I've been in Copenhagen covering fashion week for Coggles, I expected to love the city but I wasn't prepared for the unconditional love that I now feel. I think it only took us around an hour to decide that we wanted to live there, the incredibly relaxed feeling at fashion week, the a-mazing food, the sheer style of the city, the wonderful lifestyle and, again, the food completely sealed the deal.
We had a very busy itinerary to squeeze in as much content as possible for work but thankfully this also included restaurant and cafe reviews (oh hello Danish pastries!) so our days were spent running from show to cafe to show to trade fair to show to dinner and finally to the hotel to write up show reports. You can read them here, shameless plug...
Our itinerary and the dreaded 'hand luggage only' rule meant that we had to pack very well, which can only mean one thing: shopping!
I picked up these wide legged, high waisted black trousers (they're now on sale, damn it!) and loose white top from ASOS just before we left, they were perfect for running from show to show in the unexpected heat of Copenhagen, thankfully pyjamas are in this season! I paired them with my trusty Ancient Greek sandals from Coggles and kept my B&sh for La Redoute blazer for when night fell. We snapped these shots just before the By Malene Birger show, nestled away in a train repair station on the outskirts of the city, thankfully there was an ice cold glass of Moët waiting for us, dream.
I had serious style crushes on the Copenhagen inhabitants, everyone seemed to have style running through their veins. I felt like a big fat mess compared to all the willowy, Scandinavian beauties cycling around the city but someone needs to represent curves!
Keep an eye out for more outfit posts from Copenhagen as well as a few of our favourite places to eat in the city, including the best avocado on toast I've ever had.
