Tweet Loves: Foreo Luna Mini

I seem to add a new product to my skincare routine every week, whether it's something to moisturise or exfoliate, I just cannot get enough. To be honest, by the end of the year, I'll probably spend more time cleansing and moisturising than I do sleeping...

But thankfully my most recent addition only adds two minutes to my daily skincare routine! The Foreo Luna Mini* is my new best friend, the sonic cleansing tool gently pulsates as you move it around your face to stimulate your skin, deep cleanse and remove all traces of impurities. It sounds odd, and to be honest, the first time I used it, it felt a bit strange moving a bright pink vibrating oval around my face! But I could see the difference after just one use, my skin looked instantly brighter than just using cleanser alone and it felt softer than usual.

After three days I saw a real difference, even though I have a cold at the moment my skin is noticeably clearer, blemish free and brighter than it was before.

How to use the Foreo Luna Mini

The Foreo Luna Mini is a deep cleansing device, it uses sonic pulsations to gently work the impurities out of your skin, but it can't do this on its own, it needs to be used with a cleanser.

I've found that creamy cleansers and melting cleansers work best with the Foreo, I've been using mine with Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm in the morning and Joan Collins Contra Time Scrupulous Cleanser in the evening which both work really well. I've been working the cleanser into my skin for about 30 seconds before using the Foreo, which has worked really well for me. When choosing a cleanser to use with your Foreo, make sure it doesn't include silicone in the ingredients, this will cause it to foam up.

How long do you need to use the Foreo Luna Mini?

For one minute, twice a day in the morning and evening daily. The Foreo Luna Mini pulses three times every 15 seconds to let you know when to move on to a different area of your face, start with your chin, move to cheeks, then to forehead and nose, at the end of the cycle, the Foreo will pulse three times in quick succession.

The Foreo has two settings, one a slower setting which is best used on delicate areas of skin like under your eyes. Press the middle button for high intensity, then press again for low, press again to switch off.

Does it hurt?

Not at all, it is a very gentle cleanse, the silicone brush glides over your skin with no irritation. I have very sensitive skin so for about half an hour after using my Foreo, I do have heightened skin sensitivity and small red patches for a few minutes after using it, but apart from that, my skin feels no different, just looks great!

When will I see results?

You should see results after as little as three days, but keep using to make sure your skin stays clean, soft and clear.

How often do you need to charge it?

Barely ever by the sound of it! I charged mine once for about 3 hours, simply plugged into my laptop via the usb cable that comes with it, and that charge should last a few months. Amazing huh? Just remember to put the little white stopper back into the back of the Foreo otherwise it won't turn on, I found this out the hard way...

The magenta Foreo Luna Mini is exclusively available from Lookfantastic.com, find out more about Foreo products here.
