Way back in February I ventured down to London to spend the weekend with my lovely friend Sarah while our boyfriends were away on Sarah's fiance's stag do to have, what we called, an anti stag. This involved the girliest things we could think of including having our make up done at Benefit, afternoon tea, cocktails, Pitch Perfect and face masks. As you can imagine, we had the loveliest time!
But we kicked off the celebrations with a visit to Liberty to take a peek at their most recent collaboration; Sophie Hulme x Liberty scarves. Sophie Hulme is one of my all time favourite accessories designers, I adore the simplicity of her designs alongside the playfulness of the seasonal charm that adorns them. Liberty is one of my favourite shops (it's one of my favourite places, full stop) so he fact that the two have teamed up together is pretty exciting for me.
The small but perfectly formed room where the event took place was a shrine to Hulme's charms with art work dotted around in the form of collections of fish and chip forks, Spirograph pieces, birthday candle holders and pen lids each accompanied with a note explaining their origin.
It is these charms that are immortalised on the beautiful silk scarves within the collection, large squares of silk are adorned with designs in black, white, gold, hot pink and deep blue with the charm bracelet theme running throughout.
As you may be able to tell, I'm smitten with the Sophie Hulme x Liberty collection, take a look at the collection here and let me know what you think!
