Review: Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm and Overnight Recharge Night Cream

Merumaya has quickly become one of my favourite skincare brands, since discovering them in John Lewis one rainy Thursday night when we met the lovely Lekha who took us through the products.

I've only recently discovered melting cleansers (this and the RMK melting cleanser) and haven't looked back since. The Merumaya melting cleansing balm is kind of amazing, the first time I used it I couldn't believe how well it worked. I had a face full of make up after a make over in Selfridges and the cleansing balm made it disappear within seconds, there wasn't a trace of it left!

It's really simple to use, just squeeze a little into your hand and massage into your skin, then rinse. There shouldn't be a trace of make up left on your face! It works to remove make up, dirt and grime at the same time as deep cleansing your skin. I'd recommend using an eye make up remover to remove stubborn mascara alongside this as this is better for face make up.

The price point is also really good, for this level of quality in a product, I'd expect to pay at least £30 but a 100ml tube of the Merumaya cleansing balm is only £14.50. Merumaya is available on their website and at John Lewis.

I've found it works really well with a hot towel, I've been using a matching purple (always about co-ordination!) flannel that was part of an Egyptian cotton towel bundle I picked up from IWOOT.

I also swear by the Merumaya Overnight Recharge Night Cream, I've been using it every night for a few weeks now and can already see the difference. My skin looks brighter, plumper and feels more moisturised, exactly what I need at this time of the year!

The cream is a great consistency, not too light and not too heavy, it absorbs straight into the skin, instantly soothing and relaxing before bed time!
