A Good Night's Sleep

I always love a late night post, I'm currently sat in a corner of our living room where I barely ever sit with the rain lashing down outside, wearing an oversized sweatshirt and Liberty on the TV. It feels so festive, calming and completely cosy.

I thought I'd take this moment to share some of my favourite products that help me get a good night's sleep whether it has been the busiest day or a relaxing one. I generally have early starts, long days and late nights during the week but me and The Man still find it hard to sleep some nights, but with these added extras for winter, we're sleeping like babies.

My favourite new addition that I absolutely swear by is the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. I first tried this in the Lookfantastic Beauty Box and loved it so much I had to buy the full size version. I spray this on our pillows just before we lay our heads down for the night, the beautiful lavender scent lulls you into a deep sleep in a matter of minutes, what a dream. You can try the product along with the This Works sleep balm for just £10 with this kit or you can buy the full 250ml version here. I promise you will not be disappointed. If you are, I will happily come round to your house and sing 'soft kitty, warm kitty' until you fall asleep.

This is a rather new addition to my sleep ritual but I'm not sure what I'd do without it now. I ordered a silk eye mask from Amazon when The Man decided that he wanted to read in bed every night when all I wanted to do was sleep, zzzzzz. It's the perfect way of keeping your eyes shut, removing distractions and it feels amazing on your skin! I also love this Wildfox Do Not Disturb eye mask if you have a little more to spend.

Lighting a candle has been part of our bedtime routine for weeks now, the flickering light is so soothing and infinitely better than the glow of a phone or of the TV. The scent of this Heidi Klein coconut beach candle is bloody lovely too, it perfectly compliments the lavender scent of the sleep spray.

These are my essentials for a good night's sleep anyway, let me know what you think and if there's anything you do too! House of Fraser have been in touch to share their tips for getting an amazing night sleep, take a look at the tips below...

It's time for me to light my candle, spritz a little sleep spray and don my face mask, night night!

  1. I've had chronic insomnia for the past three years, so sleep is something that drives me round the bend! I've never tried the deep sleep pillow spray before so I will definitely give it a go, anything that is going to help me get into sleepy mode, I will take it! Thanks for this :)

And my mans the same only he's usually on his laptop and the light disturbs me - so the eye mask would be a good idea too!
