I am welcoming autumn with open arms, the checked fabrics and leather are out in full force and I am loving it. The sun is still trying to shine through though so I opted for bare legs for my weekend outfit for pottering around Manchester with one of my best friends before we headed to the AX Paris Press Day to check out the new collection, sip a few cocktails and catch up!
We headed over to Black Dog Ballroom just off Oxford Road and ventured up to the terrace to be greeted by a room full of beautiful clothes, cupcakes, cocktails, bloggers and treats. Just how cute are these cupcakes?
The venue was bloody lovely, I'd only ever been to the one in the Northern Quarter before so it was a nice surprise to see the outdoor space and little private bar upstairs. The collection was dotted around the room in mini collections, from my personal favourite lace, nude and fur pieces to rich reds, autumn prints and sequins.
It was so good to see something a little different to the usual nail art at blogger events (as lovely as that is!), AX Paris had an amazing henna artist creating incredibly detailed henna tattoos. I chose a design to run along the outside of my hand so it was a little more subtle, I am in love with the outcome. The interactive photobooth was so much fun too me and my friend Lydia jumped in with Laura and Abi to take a few snaps!
We had such a great afternoon with AX Paris, big thank you for having us and I can't wait to pick up some pieces from the new collection!
Myself and The Man are heading to Italy in a couple of weeks (so excited!) so I think it might be necessary to invest in a couple of dresses from AX Paris, frankly it would be rude not to.
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!
