When I look back on last week, even I'm a little bit jealous of me! Despite it being possibly the longest and most stressful week at work so far this year, it was interspersed with little moments of luxury. The first of which was thanks to South Beach, purveyors of swoon worthy swimwear (and based in Manchester too!) who whisked us away to Hale Country Club and Spa for a day of indulgence.
Because of the aforementioned stressful week of work, I could only stay for a few hours but just a little time away from the office being utterly spoiled was just what I needed.
We started our day with the lovely South Beach Swim girlies Amy and Laura took us through the new collection, I've already got my eye on a few pieces for mine and The Man's upcoming holiday. The new collection is focused around retro brights, luxe beachwear and fitness wear, there are some beaut pieces in there especially the white bikini I've picked out in the photos above.
We were treated to a piece from the current collection to lounge around in the spa in, I chose the Nina Aztec high waisted bikini (to cover up my squidgy bits of course!) which I love. The top isn't the best fit (damn my bountiful bosom) but it was easy to correct by tightening the straps, the high waisted bottoms are really flattering and I'm not too ashamed to post a photo of it on here, albeit a mirror shot.
We were also treated to an OPI manicure, which was actually my first proper manicure, such a treat even with my stubby nails. I loved the shade I chose, it's called Don't Bossa Nova Me Around, it's perfect for this transition period where it's too chilly for coral and too sunny for burgundy. After this we (carefully so not to smudge our manicures) retired to the lounge for lunch, I'd chose sushi and pork dumplings, they were both delicious. The sushi alone is worth visiting!
It was so lovely to spend the day with such lovely bloggers as well, I'm so out of the loop with Manchester bloggers these days that it was the perfect place to meet new bloggers like Katie and catch up with old friends like Chyaz.
After a swift visit to all of the five saunas, steam rooms (there's even a hot salt cave!), outside heated pool and outdoor infinity jacuzzi (heaven), I had to dash back to the office, thoroughly rejuvenated, refreshed and polished!
Thanks so much to South Beach Swim and Hale Country Club for having us, it was such a lovely day! For more information about Hale Country Club (definitely pop in for a visit if you're in the area!) visit their site here. Take a look at the South Beach collection on their site here.
