A Day at the Polo with Links of London

This time a couple of weeks ago I had absolutely no expect what to expect from the polo, all I knew was this it was a bit like croquet but played on horses by Prince William's mates. The lovely people at Links of London invited me along to the Audi Polo at Chester Racecourse to join them for the day, to educate me in the ways of the game!

As it happens, none of us were really sure of the rules of polo... But we settled down in the beautiful hospitality marquee with the sun shining down on us for a three course meal complete with a quick lesson about polo and the history behind it. Turns out it's a rather odd game, it's made up of four 7 minute quarters, there is no gender split so men and women can play against each other and half way through all of the spectators head out onto the pitch to stamp down all the bits of turf that have come up. Told you it was a bit odd!

We spent the day soaking up the sunshine, chatting endlessly about everything from shoes to new boyfriends, trying out gourmet marshmallows, being treated to a beautiful Links of London diamond bracelet, making new friends and eating delicious food. It was just what I needed at the end of a very busy week at the office! Thank you to Links of London and Trace Publicity for having me, it was such a lovely day.

Links of London have also teamed up with Make a Wish and will be donating 10% off every sale from their Hope range, which you can find here.

It's The Man's birthday tomorrow and I am stupid excited about heading to The French for lunch, watch out for food porn over on my Instagram and twitter, if that's your kind of thing!
