My Winter Hair and Make Up Essentials

I'd never really consider myself a beauty blogger, but I spend all day at work surrounded by hair and beauty products and I'm constantly finding new products to fall in love with, I thought I'd start to share more beauty posts with you.

These ten products are the newest additions to my hair and beauty collection, some because I love them and always re-stock, some because my skin is desperate for them and some because they're just darn pretty.

Here's a little bit more info about them, from left to right in the photo above:

Benefit Cream Eyeshadow
This eyeshadow is perfect for lazy girls like me, you can just dab a little on with your finger and voila, you're sorted! It also barely creases throughout the day and has a perfect amount of sparkle, I have Bikini-tini which is a cream/gold shade that is quite neutral, perfect for A/W too.
Available from Lookfantastic for £15.50

Benefit High Beam
This is perfect for highlighting around your eyes to make them pop, I dab a bit with my little finger tip in the dip between my eyes and nose and on my cheekbones to highlight the imaginary contours of my face. This is my mini version that I keep in my handbag for touch ups!
Full size is available from Lookfantastic for £19.50

Benefit Cha Cha Tint
I love the Benefit lip and cheek tints, they're my go to beauty products, I'm usually a Benetint kind of girl but I switched to Cha Cha Tint as it's a lighter, brighter more coral shade that I find suits my complexion a little more. This, again, is my mini handbag version!
Full size is available from Benefit for £24.50

Dr Hauschka Rose Body Moisturizer
My skin is always affected by the change in weather around this time of year, my usually quite standard skin suddenly tight and dry so I always slather myself in anything with moisturing properties to combat it. I keep this mini in my bag in case of emergencies and it's lovely, it smells great too!
Full size is available from Beauty Expert for £24.95

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm
I love Burt's Bees lip balm, it instantly fixes my dry lips and soothes them. The Man isn't so keen on the taste though which is a downside...
Available from Lookfantastic for £3.70 (bargain!)

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Creme Contour
I swear by Bumble and Bumble thickening products, I use the shampoo and hairspray every day. This contour creme is perfect for keeping my hair in check while it's in that awkward in between length while I'm growing it out.
Available from Lookfantastic for £21.50

Nailtiques Cuticle and Skin Gel
This is such a handy little product to keep in your bag, it's not just for your nails, you can use it on dry elbows and anywhere that needs it really, it's perfect for soothing dry skin on my hands when I don't want to use loads of hand cream, nobody wants a slippery keyboard!
Available from Lookfantastic for £16

Bellapierre Powder Eye Shadow in Earth
I'm usually a neutral eyeshadow kind of girl but this is great for using wet to create a metallic flick instead of using my usual black eyeliner, bit of a festive twist on my usual look!
Available from Lookfantastic for £12.99

No.7 Stay Perfect Mascara
This is probably the best mascara I've used for lengthening and separating eyelashes, it works so well! I only use it on my top lashes though as removing it is quite sticky when you remove it, my little eyelashes don't need to go through that!
Available from Boots for £12.95

Laidbare In Safe Hands Hand Cream
I got this in the Midsummer Blogger's Meet goody bag and it hasn't left my side since, it moisturises beautifully without leaving a greasy residue, an essential in Winter!
Available from Beauty Expert for £10

What are your Winter beauty essentials? I'm always looking for new things to add to my collection!

I didn't realise quite how many of my beauty products were from Lookfantastic until just now! It's where I work so I get a cheeky staff discount which has obviously influenced me! I know all about the discount codes too so if you see anything you like, feel free to drop me a tweet or comment before you buy to see if I can point you in the right direction!

  1. Dr Hauschka Rose Body Moisturizer sounds like something I need in my beauty bag - my skin don't bode well with the weather changing. Great reviews, I'd like to get those Benefit tubes too x
