Sophie Hulme S/S 11

Oh Sophie Hulme, what are you doing to me? Every season you come out with a collection in the most perfect colour palette with the most perfect little metallic details, with that wonderful balance between feminine and masculine that I want to cover myself up with...

I also have you to thank for my exaggerated biceps after carrying your sequin hoodie from a couple of seasons ago across London, they won me an arm wrestle last week.

I feel an urge to emulate this look with girly shirts, plenty of navy and gold accents...

Lonely Hearts Club

I have a slight obsession with keys, vintage ones especially, I went to Chatsworth House about 4 years ago and can vividly remember staring at their key collection in wonder for a very long time...

That's why I instantly fell in love with this collection by Australian jewellery designer Toby Jones (who's jewellery I first saw at the lovely Robinson Pfeffer!), I love his take on the half a heart necklaces and the idea of having a key to someone's heart, it's a little bit too lovely.

Chris Berens

I love me some strange arty-ness. These particular delights are by Chris Berens, they are visions of his 'internal universe' and I rather like them...

It's a mixture of lost children, antlers and dream like landscapes, rather nice I hope you'll agree!

Devon Aoki

Dear Devon Aoki, I kind of want to be you...

Apologies for the brief/non existent posts of late, I have literally 9 projects to finish off by the start of December so I may be a little bit quiet over the next few weeks.

These images were shot by Ellen Unwerth for Interview Magazine.

Five things you might not know about me...

So the lovely Eve from Dead Stylish (who I actually went to High School with, aren't we awesome?) passed on her 'Stylish Blogger Award' to me and invited me to reveal 5 things about myself and pass it on. I know I don't usually do these but I'm a little bit drained and meh so thought I'd do something fun and takes little to no energy...

1. I have really, really bad eyesight so I have to wear super thick glasses much like the silly doggy above. I pretty much always wear contact lenses though so nobody knows...

2. I usually prefer Children's TV to grown up's TV, some of my favourite shows include Sorry I've Got No Head, Deadly 60 and Junior Apprentice.

3. I am so, so excited for Christmas already. I'm fully enjoying all the Christmas adverts, lights and have definitely cracked out my playlist already. The Manchester Christmas Markets are calling me so I'm going for some mulled wine on Friday, DEAD excited.

4. I can put my leg behind my head and can fit my fist in my mouth. I don't do either often.

5. I know pretty much all the words to The Parent Trap. The Lindsay Lohan One.

I pass the baton on to:
Buckets and Spades
Diamond Canopy
Gem Fatale

Naama Rietti

I am rather into massive chunky knits (and knitting...) at the moment, and I'm pretty much constantly into hair clothes, so Naama Rietti's designs are the perfect combination.

I love the Predator/Alien knitted headpiece and think I might have to knit myself a similar version... I have made myself several chunky knit snoody things over the weekend which I may have to share with you at some point!

The shearling coat in the last image is like an excessive version of the aviator jacket that pretty much everyone has, so if you fancy taking it a little further, go for this one!

Lion Blau

I fell in love with these alien like designs and images as soon as I set my beady little eyes upon them, I tried to find a website for Lion Blau, the man behind these designs, but have failed a bit... Instead, I found an interview with him speaking about his designs and life in his own words that I found rather interesting so I thought I'd post it instead of me blabbering on about it!

As a Jewish, half-European, half-oriental gay German-Israeli young guy,  I grew up in a very political atmosphere. I guess this was not very visible for my surrounding cause at that time alot of things played only in my thinking. Growing up with people who spoke, bought and wore brands and "fashion" already when we were very young, looking down on people that couldn't afford that kind of clothing, I got very early an "anti-fashion" thinking. Thinking that fashion itself is a surpressor of poor people and individualist thinking in the society. I joined a certain political group, became politically very active. I guess educating myself and critising a lot of things brought me back to see fashion in a completely different view. I got more involved with the "actual" makers of fashion, got over the provincial wearer that thinks of himself in the best way, trying to show it with famous names that he/she is wearing. After I got to know what fashion for the old fashion designers really meant, I started to appreciate it myself a lot more, maybe so much more because I had a complete opposite point of view on it before. So I decided to take fashion as an art into my life myself, realising its the best way for myself to express my thoughts and my needs.

Pen Pals and Unfinished Projects

I'm currently in the process of doing a bit of cheeky research for an Uni upcoming trends project and thought I'd pick your brains a little if you don't mind!

All I want to know is if you have any unfinished projects, maybe a bit of knitting you never got round to doing, a room that's not entirely painted or a DIY project that needs sorting... I'd also like to know if you've ever sent another blogger something, like a swap or just something they might like, or followed suit with mine and Ioana's Pen Pal blogger posting (see here!) then let me know!

Drop me an email to iliketweet@gmail.com and tell your story, I'll be most grateful!

Cora Chung

Whether I'm blogging about a designer or photographer, I always, always end up commenting on the styling more than anything so I decided I should probably feature some more stylists with wonderful images for you to perv on.

These images were styled by Cora Chung, a stylist based in the Philippenes, uses a sumptuous colour palette in this series, I especially love the contrast of deep red again the icy blue in the last image. They are also inspiring me to try and wear more colours! I say this, yet I purchased dark grey wool to knit a snood for myself earlier so it's not going well so far...

Takumi Yanazaki

(photographer : Lot Doms, model : Sarah, Hair/make-up : Griet)
I can't remember how I stumbled across Takumi's work but it was a fair few months ago when I first emailed him looking for more images, some new ones of which popped up in my inbox a couple of days ago that I pretty much fell in love with.
I like the way the images don't quite look real, like it's some kind of futuristic fantasy the model has stumbled into. The collection is stunning, with structured shoulders, cage like skirts and modern lines adding to the fantasy world.
