Michael Shapcott

These illustrations are the work of Michael Shapcott and they are a little bit lovely. The painterly nature of this artwork makes them so much more than just sketches and they're making me feel like getting a bit creative with a paintbrush.

When I move back to Uni and have a blank canvas of a white room at our lovely new house, I'm planning to buy up loads of charity shop picture frames and fill them with doodles, paintings and altered pictures. Then I'm planning to arrange them in a big circle or heart on the wall above my desk, it would be above my bed but I don't fancy having one fall on my head in the middle of the night...

I got distracted. If you want to have a look at more of Michael Shapcott's work, visit his website.

  7. I don't like things over my bed for fear of them falling on my in the night. I don't usually put my prints in frames though, so I have lots over my bed. That's actually what my last post was about!
