Ruth Costello and promises

I don't often venture out of my black comfort zone, as a friend remarked the other day, she couldn't even imagine me wearing a colour, which is a little bit sad...

So, I have made a conscious decision to inject a little bit more colour into my wardrobe after all who wants to see a girl in thick black tights and a velvet skirt on the hottest day in July?

I've decided to ease my way in and embrace a softer colour palette of blue hues (always up for a rhyme!) and today I am, brace yourself, wearing jeans... I NEVER wear jeans. It also might be something to do with the fact I was a little hungover and epically tired after a lovely night full of reunions with people I've known all my life but rarely see (if you're reading this, we need to change that!).

But anyway, I recently discovered the very cute clothes of Ruth Costello, a Brighton University graduate, who's designs fit in perfectly with my blue hue injection. The frills are perfect for summer but are beautifully designed, which you just can't find on the high street.

Sadly, I don't think these beauties are available to buy, but for more info and images, visit Ruth's website.

Also, in other rather exciting news, I'm up on Leon Bailey Green's website where people vote for the best british websites and blogs, so please go and rate me highly HERE. If you didn't know, Leon Bailey Green collates the Online Fashion 100 List, so it's kind of a big deal...

  19. I'm on the all black bandwagon myself, in the summer it's a little easier to put some color in my wardrobe.

(as I write this I'm wearing a black dress and it's 98 degrees out, lol)
