My Tattoo

This is quite a short, self indulgent post just to show off my lovely new 'ink' as the cool kids are calling them these days...

Apologies for the not so great Photobooth photos, but I wanted to get an image of it before it got gross and scabby! For anyone who wants to know about the meaning, it is a variation on the Sigur Ros brackets from the un-named album which you can see here, but with a solid black fill. It's also because of the memories I have of seeing Sigur Ros with my family at Latitude festival a couple of years ago, it was so awesome and because I really bloody love punctuation.

I've been uhmming and ahhing about getting this tattoo for about 3 years now and finally decided to get it done, I felt so hardcore! It really didn't hurt as much as I thought it would either which I was very happy about! I'm so, so pleased with it, I can't wipe the big grin off my face.

There'll be a less self indulgent post tomorrow, promise...

  11. It looks really nice! But make sure you put clingfilm and vasaline on it for at least a week, just so all the excess ink comes to the top. And it makes the colour last.

  19. VERY cool new tat! I like it's abstractness, yet it's interesting to hear what it symbolizes. Definitely worth it if you've been visualizing it for 3 years!

I'm still trying to decide what I want, I've changed my mind at least 20 times for the past 10years.

Maybe permanence isn't my thing :)

  27. awesome tattoo - simple ones are far more attractive than super detailed ones, i think...
that means you were at latitude the same year i went! (though i was there for interpol the next night, and if i decided to get a tattoo it'd be something interpol-y. or scorpion-y since i am such a typical scorpio....)
