Ripping up big jumpers

(Photography by Will Epps, check out his online portfolio here)

This outfit is very simple, seeing as it only consists of a big jumper and heels...

I love the colour of the jumper, it's like a big hairy, hessian type affair but it's surprisingly soft. When I bought it, from a Charity Shop, it had a really high neckline which I was not a fan of so I cut it off and shredded the neck creating ladders and a bit of a shredded effect.

The shoes are from Office (I think all of my outfit posts have had Office shoes in them so far, I'm not sponsored by them or anything, they just keep making awesome shoes!) and are my variation on the clog trend even though I bought them ages ago... I don't think me and clogs would get on sadly.

I love this little pond and bridge where we shot these pictures, it's a little bit idyllic and I can imagine going there over summer with BBQs and cider, I'm so looking forward to Summer!

I had a delightful time in London yesterday, there will be a few posts coming up about my adventures... Hope everyone is having a lovely, sunny weekend!

  6. Oh Clare, I'm simply in love with your outfit posts! Such a great feeling they have, really give my congratulations to you photographer. I love the neckline of your jumper, a bit trashy-chic. Which actually reminds me, you hair style reminds me of the girl's from Crystal Castles, know it?
But anyways, it's lovely, summer-y weather here too, and I hope you have a great weekend as well!

  18. I love what you did to that jumper! I should not agree with vandalising knitwear, but I believe you've improved the jumper/dress completely by doing so. I often knit ladders into my work, so this is another take on that (and a lot more authentic!)

I have to agree with what Ioana said about your hair - it really does remind me of the girl's from Crystal Castles - I think Alice is her name. You are a lot nicer than her though, as I had the misfortune of meeting her 3 or 4 years ago, and she was so stuck up her own arse, it was untrue! She was obviously pilled up to her eye balls and didn't say a word to the crowd when they were on stage. Very disappointing!

  20. Your sweater totally brings me back to when I was high school and I cut the necklines off of a handful of sweaters and shirts. I was pretty into punk rock at the time and I'm not sure if any of my clothes escaped the scissors hahah. Yours looks a lot better with the shredded effect, I wish that I had thought of that! I'm like you where I can't warm to clogs but I can go for "clog-like" shoes, I think it's the mule open-back clog shape that bothers me.
