London times: Robinson Pfeffer Showroom
This is the first of a few 'London Times' posts that you'll see. The lovely ladies at Robinson Pfeffer invited me down to the showroom to take a look at the collections they stock. After a little bit of disorientation, due to being out of London for about a month, I arrived unscathed.
The showroom itself was a bit lovely, it was the kind of place I see myself living in the future, a big, open, wooden space full of lovely clothes and jewellery...
I decided that my meagre photography skills would not do any justice to the pieces in the showroom so I decided a close up/texture post would be much better, plus things like this intrigue me more than straight outfit posts.
I'll speak about the images in order so it makes a little bit of sense...
The first jewellery designer Toby Jones' work is my favourite collection featured in the Robinson Pfeffer showroom, simply because it's made up of everyday objects re-created in silver. Elastoplast rings, Soy sauce fish necklaces and photographic film cuffs are all I'm wanting right now.
I adore the animal prints featured within Alpha 60's collection, plus the lovely parrot-y pictures are on the softest tops ever made.
Athena Procopiou graphic prints are oh so beautiful. Made up from photos she took herself of Battersea Power Station, her scarves are mesmirising. Apparently there are t-shirts in the pipeline too.
I'm sure you will have all read about Tina Kalivas's work recently as her pieces have been all over the blogosphere, rightly so as her graphic prints are just beautiful. The Aztec-esque prints in vibrant colours stand out against the black of the rest of the clothes.
Lucy Hutching's jewellery is stunning, it is encrusted with beautiful jewels and her breast plate necklaces are some of my favourite.
The Stolen Girlfriend's Club collection is just far too good for words, I mean who can resist knitted knickers right?
Beau Coops shoes were the first collection that caught my eye as soon as I walked into the showroom, rows upon rows of beautiful shoes in my favorite colours were too much to ignore. The colelction was based on lingerie so there are lovely zip and elastic details all over them.
ALSO, check out Heleen's blog to see the Laura Mackness goodies she won by entering my recent competition for Laura Mackness for Weekday clothes, her blog is lovely too!
I've just found out my trip that I was supposed to be going on next week has been cancelled because of all the riots in Thailand, I am SO sad...
