Manjit Deu

Manjit Deu is one of those designers who burst into the fashion World straight out of University and has never looked back since. It has now been three seasons since he graced the LCF catwalk with his graduate collection, developing his own unique style on the way.

Graduating from his previous collection featuring masses of rectangular sequins, Manjit Deu has moved on to elaborate beading for A/W 10. The clothes almost come second to the intricate, gold detailing which immediately captures my attention though the fabrics used underneath are rather sumptuous.

The raw sexuality blaring through this photo shoot only adds another depth to this collection, the model is able to have fun with the clothes and showcase them in a utterly Manjit Deu manner.

If this is what he has produced after only three seasons, I'm very much looking forward to see how he develops and evolves as a designer

Today is the last day to enter my competition to win Laura Mackness clothes and Benefit goodies so make sure your entry counts, click here to enter! I'll announce the winners in tomorrow's post.

  3. Thank you for another interesting introduction. I clicked through and have had a look at all his work. I can see from his A/W 09 collection why he he has been so successful so quickly. I am not feeling this colloection so strongly, although is strong points. I really like the model and shots 1 and 4. I also feel the black and gold is strongest. Xxxx

  20. oh goodness - i didnt paint that! that painting was by audrey herself. i did have a little go at copying it though (not sure i should show everyone that!). i agree - the book was brilliant but the film was poor and certainly doesnt bring out such deep emotions as the book did. x

My favorite is the second one for sure. I love how the shape is almost reminiscent of some period clothing like the dresses in "the Other Boleyn girl"
