My day has been spent completing the epic amount of writing Fashion156 sent me to do in hope of becoming an intern for them.
Fashion156 is a fantastic magazine style website used as a platform to promote new and existing talent within the fashion industry. I would love the chance to work for them.
This is one of my favourite images from the website.

My Favourite Sport

Sadly it's not technically a sport. If it was featured in the Olympics, my name would already be on the list of those heading down to Stratford in 2012.
My Sport of choice I hear you ask? I am a hunter. Not the kind that results in dead pheasants everywhere, no, I am a skilled rummager.
I spend my spare time delving through charity shops boxes, hunting through vintage shop rails and trawling the internet for my second, third or fourth hand fix.
My belief is 'what goes around, comes around', which is a valid thought to have due to the nature of trend circulation in the fashion industry, though it seems to have left me with an abundance of beautiful clothes I barely ever wear.
I think this hesitance to throw anything away stems from my soon to be Mother's years at university when she left my soon to be Father in charge of taking a bin bag full of her clothes home for her. Unsurprisingly he forgot and the bag full of vintage dresses, handmade jumpers and Dr. Martens I could have been wearing are lost in the realms of their youth forever.
I don't want my children to miss out on the landfill full of loveliness that spans three wardrobes so I don't think my Father will ever be the first person I call to help me move house.

I invite you all, in this time of recession, to join me in the hunt.

I did this watercolour to go with the blog entry for Fashion156, hopefully they'll like it. I'm not holding out too much hope though.

Coin Purse

It was Jim's birthday on monday so naturally we went out and celebrated, even though Graeme was passed out on his bed by 9 and throwing up in the sink by 10, damn that Buckfast. Everyone else was much more well behaved and we had lots of fun because Jim is brilliant and deserves celebration.

I don't know why it was so hilarious but it JUST was, still is to be honest.

Also, my design (It's just down there by the way) for the bag for Graduate Fashion Week was selected to be entered in the proper competition, so hoorah!

Ooh, also, if you click on the images, they'll get bigger and actually readable.

When in Rome

I have returned home from an amazing long weekend in Rome, I had the most fun. The people on the trip consisted of me, my boyfriend Chris, our housemates Clare and Graeme and three of his friends (now our friends too) Jim, John and Chris. Along the way we picked up various new additions to our gang including Katie, an american with a brilliant sense of direction, Tanille, named after Captain and Tanille and a variety of loud, drunk Americans.

With approximately 10 hours sleep over 5 days we had gone past tired and were all pretty much up for anything. Our days were spent sightseeing and our nights were spent socialising and not sleeping. The Colosseum was amazing, literally awesome and we managed to spend a few hours in there chatting, taking photos and watching the sun go down. As the resident photographer I was left out of group shots and severely mocked but ah well...
The Colosseum also saw the brilliance that is DO A FACE. Which is a game (of sorts) where you shout 'do a face' and take a photo. The results are fantastic.

The Sistine Chapel was amazing but sadly you're not allowed to photos, boooo on them. We did enjoy a lovely group hug in there though.
I highly recommend Rome for the amazing architecture and history but the night life is very lacking and expensive, we tackled this by going on a pub crawl but it was more of a pub hike...
All in all a brilliant trip that I'll remember forever. Hoorah!

Magic Sainsbury's

This is from yesterday whilst getting some shopping on the way back to delightful/rainy Preston, Sainsbury's is magic.

This is what I'm wearing today, I decided my blog needed more fashion as that is what I study (well the promotion of it) and a daily clothes update seemed a good way to go. Plus by using cartoons I can hide christmas podgy bits!

I've been listening to Alessi's Ark ( while drawing these and her voice is so soothing it's making much less stressed about the vast amount of work that is likely to be piled upon me in the upcoming weeks. I better get finishing some today actually, I already handed one piece in early today so I'm feeling better about it all.

The Spirit

Wednesday night.
This film is odd but it's visually amazing, definitely going to be a cult film in 10 or so years time. I doubt it's for everyone seeing as 6 people walked out of the cinema, but i enjoyed it anyway. Probably better on the big screen than on dvd though...
That's supposed to be my mum next to me by the way.

Tuesday evening.
My wisdom teeth are nearly all the way through, boo.
The comic was a bit small last time so I shall try a larger format, teething problems. I'm so witty...

I have decided to keep a diary on my blog in comic form, hopefully it works out without making me look silly. The last 4 comics will all be put up today as I've only just been reunited with my gigantic scanner, i should be updating pretty regularly though.
This comic is from all the way back on Tuesday in jolly old Manchester.
