The Cut

Censors have banned 'The Cut', an anti domestic abuse advert created by the director of Atonement, Joe Wright, from being shown on TV until the violent, kicking scenes have been removed. I think this advert is very effective, i'm not a massive fan of Keira Knightley but I can see why she's been chosen for this part, it captivates the audience and has major shock value. I don't see the problem with portraying an abusive relationship onscreen when it happens in reality and similar violence is shown in films. For more information about the short film and how to donate to 'Women's Aid' click here.
